AARC - Del Rio wants to spread our message of compassion and pet care education. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the issue of overpopulation here in Del Rio, TX. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our team works tirelessly each day to contribute their part in rescuing the lost and reuniting the found.

Home visits
Through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in the area of proper pet care. Often times our team is called out to homes to bathe, pull ticks, and offer options for spay and neuter to the citizens of Del Rio. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support!
Rehabilitation & training
The AARC is a foster based rescue. All of our animals are in foster homes where they learn how to socialize, potty, play, and receive love and care until their adoption day!
Foster Placement
Most AARC rescues have been brought in from off the street, are owner surrenders, have been dumped, taken from abusive homes, or were left to be euthanized at Animal Control. Each animal that comes into our program is placed with a Foster Family, where the trust and healing can begin. Rescue Coalition
AARC works closely with our coalition partners in rescuing quickly and efficiently. Our partners include rescues from Austin, Canada, San Antonio, San Pedro, Houston, and more. We are able to save more animals as we work in a collective manner. Want to join the team? Let us know!
